Local 3rd graders descend on the CSU, Chico University Farm for a fun day of learning at 8-10 agricultural learning stations. Kids get to experience farm life up close. Farm City Celebration Agri-Business Bus Tour and Lunch

Join us at the wonderful Agri-Business Bus Tour and Lunch. After coffee and pastries at the University Farm, you will board a chartered bus and begin a tour of five local farms and agri-businesses where you will learn all about their operations and contributions to Butte County's agricultural industry. After the five stops, you will return back to the University Farm where you will enjoy a fabulous lunch featuring the now famous barrel chicken prepared by local farmers, Farm City rice, salad and rolls, all provided by Safeway, and lunch time entertainment. This event is always a sell-out, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets go on sale October 12th at 9:00 a.m. at the Butte County Farm Bureau office at 2580 Feather River Blvd., Oroville, or call 530-533-1473.
Agribee

Patrick Ranch Museum, Durham
The Agribee is a define and spell bee, using agriculturally related words for third and fourth grade students. The contest is open to schools in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Tehama and Yuba/Sutter Counties. Each school will host a school-wide Agribee and identify two finalists who will compete in the Final Agribee taking place on Friday, November 19 at the Patrick Ranch in Durham, California.
